Sunderland Point Village
I live and work in Sunderland Point, an old fishing village, which was once the port of Lancaster, consisting of around 30 houses and approximately 60 people. Our village is cut off by the tide twice a day and is only reachable by a causeway. The causeway is 1 1/4 miles long and visitors can park in the parking area on the beach, at the end of the causeway, and then walk along past the first row of houses to view the village. My studio is on Second Terrace (in the second row of houses) Please ensure you have checked tide times before visiting, as the causeway and car park are completely cut off when the tide is on. You can check Heysham tide timetable and ensure you wait 2 hours either side of high tide before visiting or contact me for safe times to cross, if you are visiting the studio.
